CROSBY — Our Future Minnesota will conduct a community meeting on education and state funding shortfalls at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Hallett Community Center at 470 Eighth St. NE in Crosby.
Residents of the Crosby area will come together to discuss the impact of education shortfalls in the district on their kids and community. The group will hear recent experiences of parents, school staff, and school officials. Organizers of the meeting said a discussion will follow about the legislative choices that have led the school district to make drastic cuts, dip into rainy day funds, and battle budget shortfalls each year. Senator Paul Gazelka, R-Brainerd, is scheduled to attend. Representative John Ward, DFL-Ward, has also been invited to attend.
