MTS Minnesota Connections Academy, an online school, will be in the Brainerd area from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday at the Comfort Suites Rapid River Lodge in Baxter, hosting a free information session for prospective students and parents.
A rise in bullying, a need for more individual attention, a child who learns at a different pace from their peers (ahead or behind) — there are many reasons why a family may be seeking a virtual public school option. For some, it is just the answer for a student to succeed. Connections Academy staff encourage families considering an online public school experience to attend an information session in-person or online because virtual education, while a great choice for many families, may not be a good fit for some. At a session, parents will learn exactly what they can expect in a virtual school setting.
