Fire contained in bedroom
BREEZY POINT — The Pequot Lakes Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2:08 p.m. Friday at 30370 Alpine Drive, in Breezy Point.
Pequot Lakes Fire Chief Tom Nelson said firefighters were able to contain the fire to one bedroom. Nelson said the person who lived at the home was able to escape and call 911. Nelson said the property is a rental home owned by Breezy Point Resort.
Nelson said the cause of the fire is not known yet, but said it appears that it was accidental.
About 15 firefighters were at the scene and mutual aid was called from Nisswa Fire Department.
