Hinckley man accused in kidnap plot
PINE CITY, Minn. (AP) — A Hinckley man is accused of trying to hire a hit man to kidnap his ex-girlfriend and either kill her or hold her as a sex slave.
Forty-five-year-old Jesse Ericson is being held in the Pine County Jail on $1 million bond without conditions.
A criminal complaint says Ericson met with an agent from the East Central Drug and Violent Offender Task Force who was posing as a hit man. The complaint says Ericson provided detailed information about his ex-girlfriend, a diagram of her home and information on her movements. The Duluth News Tribune (http://bit.ly/KqttrK ) reports Ericson allegedly gave the undercover agent $100 with the promise of $150,000 later.
The complaint says Ericson wavered between having his former girlfriend killed and keeping her chained up as a sex slave.
