Electronics recycling drive to benefit area youth
DEERWOOD — An electronics recycling drive is planned 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 19 at Deerwood Technologies, 21301 Archibald Road (at the corner of Highway 6 North and Serpent Road), Deerwood.
to benefit continuing education for area youths through the Deerwood Technologies Scholarship Fund.
All items are slated for an end-of-life environmentally safe facility in the U.S., Deerwood Technologies reported.
People may bring in the following items/fee:
• Computer towers, laptops and microwaves for $4 each.
•Keyboards, routers and network hubs, cable boxes, VCRs, DVD and CD players, stereos and radios for $2 each.
• Mice, cell phones, telephones, extra cables, PDA and MP3 players, radios, digital cameras, camcorders and power supply/transformers, razors and toothbrushes for $1 each.
• Printers, monitors, copiers and fax machines are 55 cents per pound.
• CDs, no charge.
No major appliances or televisions are being accepted.
