School Immunization clinic planned
Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division (Public Health) will be offering a walk-in school immunization clinic from 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division (Public Health) office, 204 Laurel Street, Suite 12, Brainerd.
This clinic is for 6th-12th graders in need of vaccinations. Immunizations offered are: Tdap, HPV (Gardasil), Meningitis, MMR, and Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A and Varicella (chicken pox).
Shots are $5 each; however, no one is denied access due to inability to pay. Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care is also accepted as payment so bring your cards. If your private health insurance pays for vaccinations, you must be seen by your home medical clinic and should not attend this clinic.
A parent or legal guardian and a complete shot record are required to accompany the student or shots may not be given.
If your child has a special medical problem and cannot be vaccinated or if you as a parent are conscientiously opposed to immunizations, you may receive a legal exemption. Contact the school nurse.
