Essentia Health accepting sneaker donations
Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center Auxiliary is collecting clean tennis shoes during the month of April. Your old sneakers are worth more than you think; they become reused as affordable footwear for people in need around the world. Shoes are sent to Green Sneakers, an organization that sends them to third world countries in need of footwear.
Collection sites: Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center, 523 North Third St., Brainerd; Essentia Health Brainerd Clinic, 2024 South Sixth St., Brainerd; Essentia Health Baxter Clinic, 13060 Isle Dr., Baxter; Essentia Health Crosslake Clinic, 35205 County Road 3, Crosslake; Essentia Health Hackensack Clinic, 110 Third St. South, Hackensack; Essentia Health Pequot Lakes Clinic, 4317 Woodman St., Pequot Lakes; Essentia Health Pierz Clinic, 220 North Main St., Pierz; Essentia Health Pillager Clinic, 680 Pillsbury St. North, Pillager; and Essentia Health Pine River Clinic, 415 Barclay Ave., Pine River.
Accepting only tennis shoe and sneaker type footwear.
All funds raised by this event benefit direct patient care as gifted by the Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center Auxiliary.

children. Why would I donate to those in other countries before helping our own??
I have quite a number of
I have quite a number of pairs of shoes that I do not mind giving away. Though they may be old, they are still in good condition, and will definitely be of use for someone who doesn't even have shoes to wear. I hope they find their way to someone truly in need.
