NORWOOD YOUNG AMERICA, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota State Patrol says a 17-year-old was struck and killed by a semi-truck on a Carver County highway.
KSTP-TV (http://bit.ly/GQhsul ) says the State Patrol initially reported the boy was hit by the semi after he wrapped himself in a dark blanket and was lying in the roadway. The patrol later said the boy was actually standing in the right lane when he was hit by the semi around 7 a.m. Thursday on eastbound Highway 212 in Norwood Young America.
The State Patrol identifies the victim as Andrew Mulville of Norwood Young America.
The 55-year-old truck driver from Gibbon was not injured.
