Spotlight on Technology set for March 29 at CLC
The Center for Lifelong Learning at Central Lakes College is offering an entry-level computer user course, intended to get those unfamiliar with technology a crash course in computing.
“Spotlight on Technology: Basic Computing and Word Processing” will be presented at 6:30 p.m. March 29 in C221 at the Brainerd Campus.
Led by Sue Sterling, participants will learn where to put the key and start the engine. You’ll cruise around the keyboard and learn the controls and operating system. Once you’re acquainted with forward and reverse, we’ll take a spin through a word processing program so you can learn how to type a document, (whether it is a letter or a book), save in a file you create, and retrieve it. This class is not for the already-initiated computer user. This is for those that want to learn some of that “geek speak” you hear.
Cost to attend this event is $5 for non-members or free for those with a Center for Lifelong Learning membership. Pre-registration is required and can be made by calling Bev at 855-8118.
