ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — A St. Cloud attorney says she'll seek the Democratic endorsement to challenge U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann in November.
The St. Cloud Times reports (http://on.sctimes.com/zsruzL ) that Anne Nolan will launch her campaign Friday. Nolan is an unsuccessful two-time candidate for the state House. She tells the newspaper that the Occupy Wall Street movement inspired her to run for the 6th District congressional seat and that she will emphasize economic issues.
Nolan says she'll abide by the DFL endorsement at the district DFL convention on April 14. So far, she is the only declared Democratic candidate against Bachmann.
A spokesman says Bachmann welcomes Nolan to the race and that voters will have a clear contrast. In a fundraising email sent Friday, Bachmann's campaign refers to Nolan as an "Occupy Wall Street candidate."

Add commentNolans campaign better refer to Bachmann as follows:
Failed Tea Party and former presidential candidate ,who claims Iowa as her home state , has not worked for a year (busy on the trail), and has accomplished very little if anything for her congressional district or state. As long as Bachmann has been in office Ive only seen her support one positive thing - a new bridge over the St Croix river. She jumped on a bandwagon that was set in motion when Bachmann was in high school. The highway/road work was done on the Minnesota side of the river 15 years ago. Somebody please tell me what Bachmann has accomplished?
