WALKER — Contractors and landscapers who wish to be placed on Cass County’s list of landscapers and contractors must attend a March 30 workshop at Northern Lights Casino and Events Center at the junction of highways 371 and 200 near Walker.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Programs run to 12:10 p.m., with lunch to be provided by Brock White Construction Materials. Pre-registration is required before March 26 by calling Cass County Environmental Services Department (ESD) at 547-7399 or emailing Brenda Davis in the office at brenda.davis@co.cass.mn.us.
Topics to be discussed include Cass zoning regulations and proposed changes, individual sewage treatment systems, shoreland alterations, wetlands, storm water management and grant opportunities available to contractors’ clients.
Speakers will include Robert Wright, Cass ESD; Jim Ballenthin, Cass Planning Commission; John Overland, Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources; and Kelly Condiff, Cass ESD.
