Four people injured in
crash near McGregor
MCGREGOR — Four people were injured after the pick-up they were in hit the ditch and overturned in a crash reported at 1:24 p.m., Wednesday on highway 65, four miles north of McGregor in Aitkin County, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
The driver, Michael Oberstar, 22, Virginia, had non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Riverwood HealthCare Center in Aitkin. Information on Oberstar’s condition was not available Wednesday. One of Oberstar’s passengers, Michael Stuhaug, 21, Hermantown, was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth in critical condition. On Wednesday, Stuhaug was in fair condition. The two other passengers, Patrick Orcutt, 44, Babbitt, and Kevin Schuh, 32, Eveleth, were both taken Riverwood where they were treated and released.
The state patrol reported that all four individuals had alcohol detected in their system.
