Renters escape from
burning house in LF
LITTLE FALLS — Renters were able to escape injury Monday after the house they were in became fully engulfed, said Little Falls Fire Chief Mike Nieman.
The Little Falls Fire Department were called around 3:24 a.m. to a house fire at 202 Third Ave. S.W., Little Falls. The home, owned by Raymond Demarre, is a rental.
There were no injuries.
Nieman said at this time the cause of the fire is unknown and he could not say where the fire started.
Nieman said there were 21 firefighters on scene for about two hours.
“There was extensive damage to the house,” said Nieman.
Smoke detector check
The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a call at 1:19 p.m. Tuesday to 14373 Cottage Grove Drive in Baxter to check on a smoke detector.
