Firefighters respond to two calls
The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two calls Friday.
The first call was at 7:52 a.m. to a grass fire along Highway 371 near Crow Wing County Road 48, south of Baxter. It was reported that a vehicle needed assistance and it started a fire on the grass.
Firefighters also responded to a call at 10:05 a.m. Friday at Slumberland, 15213 Edgewood Dr., Baxter, of a telephone system malfunction.
