The 30th annual Area 5 Special Olympics Winter Carnival at Confidence Learning Center was held Thursday.

Three hundred eleven olympians and staff along with 70 volunteers participated in the events which included a day of inner tubing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, ice fishing, face painting, bean bag toss, bonfire, hot chocolate, hayride, Nature Center, wild life sanctuary, snowmobiling, broom ball, and a whole lot of friendship and laughter.
