DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — The former Twin Cities auto magnate convicted of fraud has been moved to solitary confinement at a federal prison in Duluth.

Denny Hecker is serving a 10-year sentence at the prison. Hecker's attorney, Brian Toder, says he doesn't know why Hecker has been segregated. The federal Bureau of Prisons in Minneapolis won't comment specifically on Hecker's case. But, corrections manager Richard Safra tells the Star Tribune (http://bit.ly/A4Wmzj ) segregation can occur for a variety of reasons, some which have nothing to do with the prisoner's behavior.

The 59-year-old Hecker pleaded guilty in 2010 to bankruptcy fraud and defrauding auto lenders.
