WADENA — The public is invited to attend a meeting Feb. 16 to discuss a transportation study and comprehensive planning project currently under way in Wadena, the Minnesota Department of Transportation reported. The meeting is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, 405 Colfax Ave. S.W., in Wadena.
The meeting is an opportunity to gather opinions and discuss future community growth and area transportation system development. It also will help project partners gain a greater understanding of issues, needs and opportunities that could affect the Wadena area. This planning project will prepare a 20-year comprehensive plan and transportation plan.
The meeting is the first of three public meetings that will be conducted during the study. Project representatives from the city of Wadena, Wadena and Otter Tail counties, and MnDOT will be available to respond to comments and questions.
