GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The search for a missing Britton, S.D., man who apparently got lost in dense fog has a happy ending as he was discovered more than 300 miles from home in Minnesota.
KELO-TV in Sioux Falls reports that 82-year-old Leonard Johnson was discovered a nearly six-hour drive from home in Grand Rapids, Minn. He hadn't been seen since Friday. Police and motorists had been asked to keep watch out for his vehicle — a blue 1990 Ford F-150 truck.
WDAY-TV in Fargo had reported that a man matching his description was reported being seen at a car dealership early Saturday asking for directions.
Officials say Johnson might have gotten turned around by the day's dense fog. Further details weren't immediately available.

for stupid!
not stupid,
probably a form of dementia.
Then he shouldn't be on the road
A car traveling at 50+ mph is not the place for someone with dementia to be!
true, pdnet
But did you ever get tasked with taking a driver's license away from a parent or grandparent? Not a fun thing! I am going to be that way, too! LOL!
IF
If a car leaves South Dakota traveling East at 50 mph, with a driver that doesn't know where he is going when will it arrive?
