Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it got us thinking. What’s it really all about? Sappy cards, conversation hearts, chocolate, roses, teddy bears?
Nah. It’s about feelings of acceptance. Affection. Attachment.
The Brainerd Dispatch wants to know what you think and how love makes you feel. What’s love got to do with it? What does the word mean to you?
Tell us in 100 words or less. Are you in love and want to share with others how it feels? Maybe the love you have for your parents or a sibling is not something you’ve ever expressed in words. Maybe your cat Fluffy or your dog Bubby has been there for you through life’s ups and downs and you cannot imagine your life without them and you want the world (or at least other Dispatch readers) to know.
We will print a sampling of readers’ submissions on Feb. 14.
Send your thoughts to DeLynn Howard, Brainerd Dispatch, P.O. Box 974, Brainerd, MN 56401 or email delynn.howard@brainerddispatch.com.
Deadline is Friday.
