A 38-year-old Cass Lake man died after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a broadside crash.
The crash was reported at 9:29 p.m. Friday on Highway 2 east of Cass Lake at Stoney Point Road, the State Patrol reported. Road conditions were reported to be icy.
The State Patrol reported Brian Northbird was driving a Pontiac Bonneville east on Highway 2, passed a Peterbuilt semi tractor on the right and then turned left in front of the semi. After impact, both vehicles went into the ditch.
Northbird was not wearing a seat belt. The semi driver, Raymond Mayer, 39, Fort Collins, Colo., was wearing a seat belt. He suffered minor injuries and was taken to North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.
Assisting at the scene were the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, Leech Lake Tribal Police, Leech Lake Ambulance Service and Cass Lake Fire Department.

Sad situation, but what i don't understand is how can you put someones name and place of residence in here without their permission..riddle me that one if you will!
