The Crow Wing County Board Tuesday approved hiring DeeAnne Newville as information technology director.
Newville was one of three finalists for the position to fill a vacancy created when long-term IT director Jim Eder retired in June. Other finalists for the job were Deborah Erickson, county elections coordinator/deputy auditor, and Robert Litke, information director at Mille Lacs Health System.
Newville was hired at a salary of $88,705. She is expected to start at the end of the month.
Newville has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. She previously was Grand Rapids-based Lake Country Power director of administrative services from 2006 to 2011.
