Motley man injured after vehicle strikes tree
MOTLEY — A 72-year-old Motley man was critically injured after the vehicle he was driving ran off the road, went through two fences and struck a tree at 9:16 a.m. Monday on Highway 10, 10 miles west of Motley in Todd County, reported the Brainerd State Patrol.
Ted Lundberg was taken to Lakewood Health Systems in Staples. Information on his condition was not available later Monday.
Two injured in two-vehicle crash
STAPLES — A driver and his passenger were injured after a two-vehicle crash at 7:29 p.m. Sunday on Highway 10, east of Staples near County Road 83, reported the Detroit Lakes State Patrol.
The driver, William Otto, 30, address unknown, and his passenger, name unknown, were taken to Lakewood Health Systems in Staples to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The other driver, Chad Fishman, 29, Staples, was uninjured.
Two injured in Friday crash
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries at 10:59 p.m. Friday at Pine Beach Road and Winterwood Trail in Brainerd.
It was reported that the two drivers suffered minor injuries.
Details on the accident were unavailable Monday.
Snowmobile goes through lake
CROSBY — A 45-year-old man was driving a snowmobile around 3 p.m. Sunday when it went through the ice on Rabbit Lake at the Mississippi River entrance, reported The Crow Wing Sheriff’s Office.
It was not known Monday if Jonathan Kurilla, address unknown, driver of the snowmobile, was injured. The sheriff’s department received the report on the incident Monday morning.

At the mouth of the Mississippi River. Can anyone say current makes weak ice. The word I want to use is stupid.
