DEERWOOD — The passenger involved in an all-terrain vehicle crash Monday in Deerwood Township that claimed the life of Craig Rye was in stable condition Wednesday, reported the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.
The passenger was Erik Rye, 21, Shepard, Mont., who is Craig Rye’s nephew.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash located northwest of Clearwater Lake off Crow Wing County Highway 8. It was reported that the ATV the men were on rolled over onto them while driving down a steep embankment.
