The Cuyuna Range Women’s Club will meet 1 p.m. Monday in the meeting room of the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library in Crosby. The program will be presented following a brief business meeting.
President Myrna Nelson will give an overview of the Lake Roosevelt Artifact Exhibit displayed in the Hallett Library. This area north of Emily was explored and mapped by Joseph Nicollet and his expedition in the summer of 1836. Many artifacts such as bullets and pottery have been unearthed. Nicollet’s diary and maps confirm the work of the expedition. This interesting and educational display is presented by the Cuyuna Iron Range Heritage Network of Crosby.
Lenore’s Christmas baking secrets will be shared by Lenore McBroom. She will provide her secret family recipe and demonstrate her method for shaping her famous Christmas coffee bread. Those attending will have a chance to taste this Christmas treat.
A special Christmas sing-along will be led by Sally Mann.
