Posted: November 23, 2011 - 8:12pm

BAXTER — Paul Sailer, author of “The Oranges are Sweet” will be on hand for a book signing event from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Book World in Baxter.
Sailer, from Wadena County, authored the book about a 22-year-old World War II flying ace who grew up in Hill City.
Sailer, himself a helicopter pilot who served during Vietnam, spent years researching the remarkable and tragically short life of Maj. Don Beerbower, which he chronicled in the book, which was recently printed at Bang Printing in Brainerd. The book has become a best seller at Book World.
