School is about to begin and your child’s immunizations need to be up-to-date in order to attend. Crow Wing County Public Health will be offering a walk-in school immunization clinic from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Crow Wing County Community Services Health Division, 204 Laurel Street, Suite 12, Brainerd. This clinic is for kindergarten through 12th graders in need of vaccinations in order to attend school.
Shots are $5 each; however, no one is denied access due to inability to pay. Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care is also accepted as payment so bring your cards. If your health insurance pays for vaccinations, you must be seen by your home medical clinic.
A parent or legal guardian and a complete shot record are required to accompany the student or shots may not be given. If your child has a special medical problem and cannot be vaccinated or if you as a parent are conscientiously opposed to immunizations, you may receive a legal exemption.
