MERRIFIELD — The Pound the Pavement for Pam motorcycle and classic car ride will be June 25 with registration at 10 a.m. at the Timbermist Catering Facility in Merrifield. The ride will begin at 11 a.m. and return to Timbermist for music and entertainment, a picnic and beer garden at 3 p.m.

Cost is $20 per person rain or shine. Stops at area establishments include Ox Lake Tavern, Anchorage Inn, Harriet Club, Bungalow and Chap.

Pam Bye battled breast cancer for five and a half years and died in November 2010. Organizers said Pam’s love, courage and strength for being involved with the local community inspired this event.

The event is sponsored by Chap, Timbermist and Chaparral Bunkhouse. All proceeds will be donated to a local individual and their family struggling with a life threatening disease.
