Commissioner Trusty not deploying to Mideast, will remain on board
Crow Wing County Commissioner Phil Trusty is staying in the U.S. and on the county board.
Trusty, a national Guard member for more than 25 years, was expected to deploy with his Minnesota Air National Guard squadron somewhere in the Mideast in support of Operation New Dawn in Iraq. After a promotion was announced, Trusty's deployment orders were canceled.
