Eight tantalizing recipes will make your mouth melt Tuesday if you purchased your ticket for the Taste of Home Cooking Show at Tornstrom Auditorium at Washington Educational Service Building.
Recipes include French Onion Soup and Warm Apple Cheese Sandwiches, Black Bean Peppers, Halibut Fish Tacos and Flamin’ Cajun Skillet. On the sweeter side are a Tropical Crisp and Blueberry Upside Down Cake.
The Taste of Home Cooking Show — sponsored by the Brainerd Dispatch and the Brainerd Lakes Women of Today — has been in Brainerd every other year for the past 12 years.
Tickets are $10 and are available by picking them up at the Dispatch at 506 James St., Brainerd, or by calling the Dispatch at 829-4705 and using a credit card. Tickets also may be purchased Saturday at the Women’s Expo at the Brainerd Area Civic Center. Ticket prices include entry into the cooking show that begins at 7 p.m., the exhibitor show that opens at 4 p.m. and a goodie bag filled with coupons, samples and the spring issue of the Taste of Home magazine with the featured recipes from the show.
Guy Klinzing will be the culinary specialist at the Taste of Home Cooking Show. Klinzing, culinary specialist for the Taste of Home Cooking School in Greendale, Wis., conducts cooking school shows across the country. Klinzing has made a career in snack food and the chocolate industry. Klinzing is a professional actor and vocalist.
