The Kiwanis Club of Brainerd is working together with friends and neighbors to make the community a cleaner place. A Community Clean-Up Blitz is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 7 between The Bodyworks and Mills Ford, Baxter, rain or shine.
Appliances, mattresses, scrap metals, furniture, batteries, clothing and much more will be accepted. Cost is $40 to $50 per pickup load or equivalent trailer (partial loads will be pro-rated). Paints, oils, chemicals and yard waste will not be accepted. Additional charges apply for the disposal of certain items. Vouchers may be used and are available at Brainerd City Hall on a first-come, first-served bases.
