A month-long investigation into the sale of cocaine in the Brainerd area ended last week with the arrest three people on felony drug charges, it was learned Monday.
At 5:45 p.m. Saturday officers from the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division assisted by the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Tactical Team executed a search warrant at a residence on the 700 block of South Ninth Street in Brainerd, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Meyer said.
Kyle George Jacobs, 23, and his wife, Angela Carol Jacobs, 27, were arrested for felony first-degree possession of cocaine and felony endangerment of a child through selling/possession a controlled substance.
Meyer said a 3-year-old boy was removed from the house by Crow Wing County Social Services.
A third person, James Rojas, 47, was arrested at the residence for felony second-degree sale of cocaine.
Meyer said while the amount of cocaine seized from the house had yet to be weighed it was enough to warrant arrests on probable cause of a first-degree possession of a controlled substance crime. Meyer said the suspects are expected to be arraigned on formal criminal charges on Tuesday.
Meyer said the arrests were part of a month-long investigation into the sale and distribution of cocaine in the Brainerd area. He said no more arrests were anticipated in the investigation.
Assisting the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division were officers from the Brainerd, Baxter, Nisswa and Breezy Point police departments.

I wonder to myself how long it will be before this innocent child is reunited with the "devoted" parents...all to often social services fails to do right in the long haul and these children of drug users end up back in the same home they were taken from to give the parents a chance to redeem themselves. God help them, with parents like.... these the children deserve so much better!!
