The VFW Club will serve breakfast from 8 a.m. until noon Sunday.
The Disabled American Veterans will serve a chicken dinner from 5:30 p.m. until gone Friday at the VFW. Cost: $7.

Crow Wing Genealogy Society to meet

Clothing drive planned
The Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 22 are taking new and used clothing in a clothing drive to raise funds. If you have clothing items left over from garage sales, donate them to the DAV of Crow Wing County. All funds obtained from our clothing drive are used primarily for the disabled veterans in Crow Wing County and to St. Cloud VA Hospital. Quilt raffle tickets being sold
Chapter 22 of the Crow Wing County Disabled American Veterans are selling quilt raffle tickets. There are eight quilts this year to be raffled off with a king size quilt as top prize. Tickets are $2 each. For your ticket cal Brian at 829-3363. All funds raised support local DAV Crow Wing County Chapter 22 veteran service projects.
Encore Arts Association
Encore Arts Association will meet Tuesday at the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center, 803 Kingwood, Brainerd. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Linda Axvig will demonstrate creating and decorating a lighted bottle. Members or guests may observe this process at no cost, or pay a $3 fee for the materials and create their own with the information and materials provided. Linda is also hostess. DEERWOOD — The Brainerd Area Retired Educators will meet for a noon luncheon Monday at the Cascade Methodist Church in Deerwood. Kris Hasskamp from the Crosby area will entertain the group. Chapter DV, P.E.O.
The Chapter DV, P.E.O. will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Jan Lallman with LaVonne Neff as co-hostess. The program by Annie Swanstrom will feature her experience as delegate to the state convention.
Purse sale planned
There will be a purse sale from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in rooms Thabes I and II. More than 100 designer purses will be featured and priced under $50. Proceeds go to St. Joseph’s Medical Auxiliary to aide in the comfort of the patients.

NISSWA — The Washington High School grad classes of 1963-1966 will have a casual gathering beginning at 7 p.m. June 25 at the Nisswa American Legion.
BACP to march in parade
The Brainerd Area Coalition for Peace will march in the Brainerd Fourth of July parade. The parade begins at 4 p.m. The coalition will assemble along College Drive at 3:30 p.m. for those interested in joining to march for peace.
