Biking on the trails, dining in a dash and we’re on the road again to the Ageless Expo.
Tom and Judy always enjoyed attending the Ageless Expo. Every year exhibitors, entertainment groups and workshops changed. This year they had checked out the schedule ahead of time at The Center and already knew there were a couple of workshops that they really wanted to attend.
Biking on the Paul Bunyan Trail had become a regular activity for Tom and Judy. The beautiful scenery, benches along the trail and cool fall air has them peddling from Brainerd to beyond Merrifield several times a week. One of the workshops at the Ageless Expo, “Keeping Your Wheels Turning, Bike Wheels that is!” will assist them with their bicycle maintenance, assembly for storage or travel and recommendations on other biking trails. Judy wanted to encourage their neighbors to begin biking too, so she invited Sue and Joe to attend the expo with them.
Retirement is very fulfilling for the Smiths! They do not have time to do everything they want to, so making meals faster is a workshop that Judy is interested in attending. “Dining in a Dash” sounds like the perfect solution!
At the expo there will be demonstrations on wood carving, painting and toy making. Exercise groups with instructors will be providing samples of classes for you to try. Classic and antique cars will be on display in the parking lot! Entertainment groups performing on stage — Evergreen Cloggers, County Swingers and the Geritol Frolics. More than 30 exhibit booths will be providing information to educate and update on topics from health care, finances or fun activities!
Ending the afternoon with the Jason Davis presentation! Tom and Judy will have had a great day at the Ageless Expo again this year!
If you, too, would like to attend the free, open to the public, Ageless Expo, it will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.
Wonder what will be new next year?
