Consider becoming a mentor to a child. There’s no better time “to pay it forward” than during January’s National Mentoring Month. Help Kinship Partners reach its goal of recruiting 50 mentors during this month.
Meet Ellie, a kindergarten student from Pine River. She is 5 years old and hopes to find someone who enjoys trips to the park, baking and vanilla ice cream like she does! Mom describes Ellie as a big helper around the house with an outgoing personality and a love for art and being outdoors.
The most successful mentoring relationships are built around common shared activities and interests. Kinship Partners provides the support, structure and supervision needed to insure a safe and positive relationship. You only need to be yourself — a caring adult, willing to spend time with a child who needs a role model.
Kinship Partners serves families in Crow Wing County, southern Cass County and the Staples/Motley area by providing positive role models to youth from the ages of 5 to 14. We have offices in Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Crosby and Staples.
