Wadena’s 2010 tornado screening to be at Science Museum

The Science Museum of Minnesota invites residents of Wadena and Otter Tail counties, area’s hard hit by the biggest tornado outbreak in Minnesota’s history in June 2010, to see the new Tornado Alley Omni-theater film Saturday.

Mid-Central Federal Savings Bank, along with the collaboration of the Science Museum of Minnesota is hosting and sponsoring a motor coach day tour with Andys’ Luxury Motorcoach Services at no charge. Anyone holding a Minnesota’s driver’s license with a zip code from Wadena, Bluffton, Parkers Prairie, Almora, Deer Creek, New York Mills and Henning will receive free admission and free transportation to the Science Museum’s exhibit galleries and Omni theater.

Tornado Alley gives viewers an unforgettable look at the power and fury of one of nature’s most dramatic weather phenomena. Much of the film’s footage of tornado aftermath was shot in and around Wadena, where more than a dozen tornadoes swept through in the summer of 2010, causing millions of dollars of damage.
