HomeHealth Partnership to light 27th annual Tree of Love
CROSBY — HomeHealth Partnership of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby will sponsor the 27th annual Tree of Love.
Located across from the medical center property, the Tree of Love will be lit by red and white strings of lights that represent donations by individuals or groups in honor of, or in memory of, someone they admire or love. A red bulb honors someone living, a white bulb honors the memory of someone who has died.
The Tree of Love lighting ceremony will be at 4 p.m. Nov. 28 in the CRMC Care Center activities room. The ceremony will include music, refreshments and reflection. The public is encouraged to attend.
Donations received for Tree of Love light bulbs are contributed to HomeHealth Partnership hospice care. The HomeHealth Partnership hospice care program provides medical care, pain management and emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients and their families and loved ones. The program serves communities within a 25-mile radius of CRMC as well as the McGregor area.
A $10 tax deductible donation is requested for a Tree of Love light bulb to represent one name and a $15 tax-deductible donation is requested for a light bulb that represents one family or group. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 31. All names received by Nov. 23 will be read during the lighting ceremony. A remembrance card will be sent at the request of the donor to those they are honoring, giving their name as the donor.
For a donation form or more information, contact HomeHealth Partnership at (218) 546-2311 or visit www.cuyunamed.org.
Pequot Lakes PTA earns $750
In appreciation for Pequot Lakes Parent Teacher Association volunteer support for the Brainerd Lakes Chamber’s Market in the Park events this summer, the Whitefish Area Lodging Association has donated $750 to the Pequot Lakes PTA.
The Pequot Lakes PTA strives to promote, improve and enhance the curriculum and life experiences of the students and staff at Eagle View Elementary and Pequot Lakes Middle School. The donated funds will further this goal by supporting school-sponsored events and educational needs.
The Brainerd Lakes Chamber’s Market in the Park offered a variety of free weekly activities in downtown Pequot Lakes during the summer, which were designed to motivate travel to Pequot Lakes and encourage vacationeers, seasonal residents and residents to stay, shop and dine in the community.
