Residence: South Long Lake in rural Brainerd for 53 years.

 

Family?: Married to Gary for 53 years; four sons; and four grandchildren.

 

Your secret to a long-lasting relationship?: “Overlook their faults and have lots of patience.” 

 

Highlight in your life “Our trip to Alaska. We went there in 1994 and 2005. The best part of the trip was our trip to Mount McKinley.

 

Something you would like to do before you die?: “Go back to Alaska or go to Hawaii. I’ve never been there.”

 

Hobbies? “Gardening and sewing. I like to make quilts and I’ve made snowmobile suits. You name it I’ve made it.”

 

Favorite flower: “Roses. I like the pink ones best.”

 

Favorite book: “Gone with the Wind.”

 

Something people don’t know about you: “That I’m really shy.”
