"Brainerd is resounding to: day with bits from the songs of the musical comedy hit, "Miss Cherry blossom," and words of praise for the young people who took part in it Thursday evening at the Brainerd opera house, when they presented what has generally been spoken of as the best amateur production ever given at the theatre.

"The audience was large and appreciative. The musical comedy was given under the auspices of the Bachelor Maids. John Wilson Dodge, author and director, achieved wonderful results in the short space of time spent in rehearsing the company for its performances.

"The play is one of the cleverest ever given in Brainerd. Cliffton A. Allbright handled his role with great skill and brought forth smiles and laughter. A hit of the evening was the winsome, pretty Mrs. Clyde E. Parker as Miss Cherry blossom. Her Japanese lover was admirably played by Al Mraz, and Miss Norma Brady was captivating in her role and her dances with Dan Barrows drew much applause.

"Other pleasing impressions were given by Dr. Karl loom, F. E. Stout, Miss Frances Quinn, Ben Olson; with orchestral accompaniment by Edwin Harris Bergh, Mrs. Walter F. Wieland and William Rodenkirchen."
