■ Three men and Thirty Instruments to set stage New Odyssey: Three Guys and Thirty Instruments will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 4 at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd. The concert is part of the Lakes Area Concert Association concert series for 2012-13.

Little Falls to present production LITTLE FALLS - The Little Falls Community Middle School Drama Department will be performing the musical "Willy Wonka Kids!" at 7 p.m. March 28 in the gymnasium stage at the school.

"If only these aprons could talk." Well, Brainerd resident Guy Kelm's wife's aprons talked - which inspired Kelm to begin the realization of a lifelong dream - the publication in January of his first book, "The Apron: Stories From the Farm.

■ Palestinian-American poet to present reading Palestinian-American poet Naomi Shihab Nye will conduct a poetry reading at 11 a.m. April 5 at Central Lakes College (CLC) Chalberg Theater. The event will be a free-will offering.
