■ Former Dispatch editor co-writes ‘Knowing Horses’
Les Sellnow, a former Brainerd Dispatch editor, recently co-wrote a book entitled “Knowing Horses.” The book is described as questions and answers “to boost your equine IQ.”
Sellnow, a lifelong horseman, competitor, journalist and author of eight other horse books and hundreds of magazine articles, writes regularly for The Horse and the Blood-Horse magazines. He lives in Riverton, Wyo.
He partnered with Carol A. Butler, co-author of a series of natural history question and answer books and a docent at the American Museum of Natural History. She lives in New York City.
The book is published by Storey Publishing.
