MOTLEY — The fifth annual Two Rivers Music Fest and Craft Fair is scheduled Friday through Sunday at Veterans Park in Motley. The three-day event was established to provide an annual family entertainment event through music, arts and crafts. It’s a free event and spectators should bring their own lawn chairs.
The festival will open Friday with Arts in the Park to be held from 4-8 p.m., along with High Tea and entertainment from 6-8 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park. A pie and ice cream social will be planned from 4-6 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Motley.
Saturday’s events begin with the firemen’s pancake breakfast at the fairgrounds from 7-10:30 a.m.; followed by a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Kids Day at the Park from noon to 5 p.m.; food will be available from noon to 10 p.m.; and the kiddie parade and Motley’s Two Rivers parade begin at 11 a.m.
Music Saturday starts out from noon to 3 p.m. with the Jolly Zuks Band that plays a variety of styles of music from a little bit of country to the two step will perform; from 3-6 p.m., Alan Godage and Sundown, classic country from music greats that include Bill Anderson, Jim Ed Brown and Stonewall Johnson; and from 6-10 p.m., The Canoise Band with Willie Walker from Memphis, a variety and rhythm and blues band.
Sunday’s event will include a community church service at 10 a.m.; Tim Cline and Journey Home Gospel Show, a Christian variety band, noon to 3 p.m.; and a food and craft fair, noon to 4 p.m.
