WALKER — The Leech Lake Arts League will hold its annual Northern Reflections Art Show and Sale Aug. 4-6 at the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School in Walker.
The time of the free show are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 4-5 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 6.
This year’s exhibit will include work from 23 area artists, who use a variety of media and subjects. Featured artist of this year’s show will include the works of Joy Rhoden-Moeglein of Walker. She has worked in watercolor, sculpturing, watercolor and oils and has received many awards for her art. She has done advertising, interior decorating and worked as a model during her career. Her works hang in many private collections, and in Walker at the medical clinic and library.
The show also will include an exhibit of paintings from Goldie Rucker who passed away recently. Rucker was one of the founders of the league.
The Mary Ann Norton Scholarship Fund will have a painting for raffle with all proceeds going to the scholarship fund.
In addition to original works of art, prints and cards will be available for purchase.
The Leech Lake Arts League meets Thursdays in Walker at the American Legion at 9:30 a.m. Members and guests are welcome. For more information contact Julie at (218) 547-0893.
