Gary Walters of "That Guy's" Healthy Confidence Adventure will continue with a Pedal With a Purpose fundraiser at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Takedown Gym.

Pedal With a Purpose is a once-a-month indoor cycling event that donates 100 percent of proceeds to a designated nonprofit each month. The event is open to the public, members and non-members, and, for $20, participants can take part in an instructor-led Bike Boss class — indoor cycling choreographed to music.

Class sizes are limited; however, additional classes will be added as demand allows.

To register for a Pedal With a Purpose session, call Takedown Gym at 218-454-1770 or reserve a spot on the Takedown mobile app.

At the beginning of this year Walters teamed up with Confidence Learning Center's Executive Director Jeff Olson to bring healthy confidence to everyone they can, both with ambitious goals to get as healthy as possible, while raising money for Confidence Learning Center, Kids Against Hunger and Brainerd Public School's Foundation.

Raising funds happens in different ways through partnerships, pledging and events such as Pedal with a Purpose. Pledge to Wacky Walters team or Ole's Team online at www.thatguyadventures.org. Both teams are working toward a $20,000 fundraising goal in 2018. Walters is also working towards losing 84 pounds, while Olson is working toward losing 41 pounds.
