A technology business — Glynlyon Inc. — announced it is expanding to the lakes area and locating in Nisswa.
Glynlyon reports it is a worldwide provider of academic curriculum and eLearning products. The company purchased the old Furniture North building just off the Highway 371 and County Highway 77 corner. The company is hosting a job fair from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Nisswa Community Center.
Glynlyon offers electronic and print solutions for every type of learning environment, supporting everything from virtual schools to home schools, private schools and traditional classrooms. In business for more than 30 years, Glynlyon reported it plans to hire a variety of employees in areas such as distance teaching, education and sales, software and web development, business analysis, management, marketing and more.
“We are very excited to have Glynlyon Inc. join the Nisswa community and spur economic growth to our area,” said Brian Lehman, Nisswa mayor, in a news release. “I am impressed with Glynlyon’s commitment to make a positive impact on student’s lives by delivering curriculum content using the latest technology and mediums.”
Glynlyon has been working closely with the city of Nisswa, the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce, and the Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development Corp. to ensure that its upcoming endeavor spurs economic growth across the Brainerd lakes area, BLAEDC reported.
“Technology-based businesses like Glynlyon are ideal for the Brainerd lakes area,” said Sheila Haverkamp, BLAEDC executive director. “We offer the quality infrastructure and employees they desire.”
