The annual Celebrate the Young at Art at the reception is Thurs, April 12, 3:30 at the Q Gallery at Franklin Arts Center. http://www.crossingarts.org/pages/CelebratetheYoungatArt2012/ The Crossing Arts Alliance planning and programming committee works with area schools to honor budding young artists and their creative endeavors. The exhibition runs Tues to Sat, 10 to 4 through April 20. A special thank you to Kate Carlson, who organizes this celebration.

Parents, Grandparents, and Animal Lovers... Your kids might want to participate this Saturday, February 9: The Crossing Arts Alliance Flipside "Animals in Art" Arty Party will feature painting, drawing, sculpting, cartooning, and edible art with Kate Carlson! (please bring a photo of your favorite pet (we've seen plenty of cute ones on social media). 10am to noon at Franklin Arts Center, 1001 Kingwood St, Brainerd, basement (former cafeteria)

Four Artists: Four Visions is a visual arts exhibition of wood turning by Bob Carls, wood and metal sculpture by Roy Abbott, and textile art by Amy Sharpe and Carolyn Abbott at the Q Gallery.

The opening reception is from 5 to 7pm on May 3, 2013, $5 for Crossings Arts members and $10 for non-members. The exhibition is free and open to the public Tuesdays through Friday from noon to 4pm, May 7 through 10, and May 14 through May 17, and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm, May 4, 11 and 18.
