The annual Celebrate the Young at Art at the reception is Thurs, April 12, 3:30 at the Q Gallery at Franklin Arts Center. The Crossing Arts Alliance planning and programming committee works with area schools to honor budding young artists and their creative endeavors. The exhibition runs Tues to Sat, 10 to 4 through April 20. A special thank you to Kate Carlson, who organizes this celebration.

Adobe certified instructor, Steve Bye, and CLC photographic imaging instructor, Mike Vogt, will teach an Intro to Lightroom workshop April 1 at CLC, Staples campus. The registration is limited to 20 people, as iMacs will be provided. Price: $45. Early Bird Discount Price: $40, before 3/14/12. No Refunds after 3/23/12, but registration is transferable. Good computer skills are a requirement to be successful in the class.

The Peep(s) Show is a juried, themed art exhibition about people. Three prizes of $100 each are being offered for best self-portrait, best portrait, and best group of people.
