The Brainred Public Library is preparing for the second installment of the our Ancestry Workshops. The workshops are for intermediate genealogy researchers and will focus on immigration, naturalization records, military records, periodical and county resources. The classes are free and everyone is welcome.
Come join us in the small meeting room at the Brainerd Public Library Wednesday, March 9th 2:00pm for a discussion of A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. This incredible book is a gothic novel set in rural Wisconsin in the winter. I didn't like the book at first however, I absolutely could not put it down until it was done. The characters were very believable and you just could not wait to see what was going to happen next. The imagery of the freezing stark environment adds another dimension to the story.
