The Brainerd Public Library gives a huge thanks to our local businesses that supported the library's Summer Reading Program. We couldn't offer this free program without your help. Your donations of coupons, prizes and pizza were a great way to reward the kids for reading. To see the look on a child's face when they earned a prize for reading was so much fun. Your incentives kept them excited about reading throughout the summer. We had a record setting year, with over 960 children signing up to read! A big thank you to Applebees, Buffalo Wild Wings, Culver
For 8 weeks this summer, kids flocked to the Brainerd Public Library for the Summer Reading Program "One World Many Stories." Children traveled the world this summer by exploring exotic places such as Africa and Antarctica through stories, guest speakers, crafts, music, dance, and other activities. We have seen imaginations opened to a world that TV and video games just cannot provide.
