Come join us in the small meeting room at the Brainerd Public Library Wednesday, March 9th 2:00pm for a discussion of A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. This incredible book is a gothic novel set in rural Wisconsin in the winter. I didn't like the book at first however, I absolutely could not put it down until it was done. The characters were very believable and you just could not wait to see what was going to happen next. The imagery of the freezing stark environment adds another dimension to the story.

Book Review

Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchy

Review by Linda McIntosh

Maeve Binchy fans will be delighted with her newest book, Minding Frankie.  The Dublin setting continues to be a good one for these warm and cheerful books, much like the Irish people.  This is her 21st book, and she still tells an engaging story.
