Heisman Trophy

I voted for Cam Newton of Auburn for the Heisman Trophy. I don't recall being as torn as to who to vote for as this year. Newton is the nation's top college football player but comes with baggage. His father was accused of working with the owner of a scouting service to receive up to $180,000 for his son to play for Mississippi State while the quarterback was being recruited out of junior college in 2009. The NCAA cleared Cam, saying neither he nor Auburn knew anything about the alleged payment. Considering Reggie Bush gave back his 2005 Heisman and USC was hit with sanctions after a 4-year NCAA investigation determined he was ineligible for receiving improper benefits, did Newton deserve my vote?
